How to create even greater impact with your printed scratch cards.

Solution: Try Overprinting onto the scratch panel and a die cut shape.

Bristan are a UK manufacturer of taps and showers. They sell mainly through a national network of distributors such as; plumbers’ merchants, bathroom showrooms and DIY stores. They are always looking at ways to support & encourage distributors to promote Bristan over other products. They often do this by creating marketing initiatives that can be run in-store. Any promotion needs to engage and grab the attention of both the distributor and the customer.

For this particular promotion Bristan chose to use printed scratch cards as they knew they would be an instant success with customers. However, they wanted something that was also just a little bit different.

After careful consideration they decided an ideal in store promotion would be Printed Scratch cards. These would offer the chance for customers to win a high value prize of a Racetrack Experience. They also wanted the distributors to ‘buy’ into the promotion and actively promote it to their customers. Therefore, the promotion had to have both attractive prizes and stand out from other more mundane forms of promotion.

Bespoke Solution: We suggested they order scratchcards with a non-standard cut out shape. By being visually different from other standard forms of marketing they would certainly stand out from the crowd. The cards were printed and then die cut in the shape of a race helmet. The result is a promotional card that is both fun and visually interesting.

Specification:
 These were printed to provide  a specific mix of winning and losing cards. These were  printed in sheet form together, die cut to shape and then separated into batches for the client to mix to the required win/lose ratio.
 For additional impact we also incorporated overprinted text in black on top of the scratch surface with an added marketing message.
